The Bodyhood Pilates training will give you knowledge and wisdom to understand your body not as a mere machine, but as a teaching tool for your mind – in your journey to “a uniformly developed body with a sound mind fully capable of naturally, easily and satisfactorily performing your many and varied daily tasks with spontaneous zest and pleasure” (J. H. Pilates). How this works out?

Because it is the person who has an independent existence and can therefore change him- or herself independently, whereas the exercise cannot. So, to place the emphasis on the exercise instead of the person is obviously not a practical thing to do. Nevertheless, the Pilates exercises do possess endless numbers of aspects, which can be examined; but in the end, it is the person´s ability to perceive things simultaneously from different points of views, which eventually encourages development. Yes, it is about you.

What you will learn? To be “in the moment”. In other words, how to reduce the neurophysiological mind-body-gap. You will learn how to cultivate movement integrity. How does it work? I, for example, use techniques like the ABC principle – an integrative device to break down disassociation. This technique will help you to reach the state of “in the moment awareness”, so you can and will move with integrity.
The outcome will be a healthy, lean, strong and flexible body combined with a watchful, creative and focused mind.
